i dyed my naturally light brown hair in february ALL black. it was the simplest way, seeing as my hair back then was light blonde with bits of black in it. now my roots are showing and the colour's not really black anymore - more of a dark brown with reddish tones - this i'm scared of because of the impending ginger stage when dying back to blonde!

Please go to professional. If you dyed your hair black with a permanent color it will be very hard to lift it all the way to a blond. You might get green hair in the process or burn it so bad with chemicals it will look horrible. Please get a professional to do it.

Well once you dye it one color.... wait a while.... when I say a while I mean like 2 months.... .or if you perm your hair... don't dye it, or else it will fall out!!!!

if u used a permanent color, its going to kill your hair to get the blonde again. U will have to either bleach it or decolorize it but whichever method you use, u will need ALOT of treatments and conditioners and ur guarenteed to have damage. My advice: let it grow out.

ok i would suggest not going from black to blonde cause if you try to die it straight to blonde from black hair it will turn red so if you are going to do it then get hair color remover then die it blonde have fun

Good Luck with that HUN!! It will prolly end up turning orange. I would go to a salon and ask them if they can fix your hair for you. Sure it will cost more...but would you rather have orange hair or bad roots???

Go to a salon(or do it yourself) and have your hair bleached. Wait about 2 weeks and then go back to the salon to dye your hair blonde. You may have to go back a couple of more times depending on how light you want your hair. Once you have the color you want, you will probably have to re-dye it every 4-6 weeks to maintin the color. That is what I do to my hair because it is naturally dark brown and I dye it blonde.
