Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

Ok i've heard the the loreal colorpulse line, but i have questions. would it work if i used maybe 3 boxes of those [[since i have medium sized hair]] to turn my hair into a dirty blonde-ish? If that doesn't work how can i get my hair blonde without the use of the salon? Please HELP!

Someone has their facts mixed up...or their hair colors. L'oreal color pulse is not a dye and it washes out after about ten shampoos. It will not make dark hair lighter as it lacks the bleach to do so. If you want to make your dark hair a lighter color you will have to get a dye that has ammonia in it. I would suggest going to the store and looking for a light honey, or dusky, blonde color...in a permanent dye. L'oreal and Clairol both have some really good colors. You just have to pick the one you like the best.

*note* never try to bleach dark hair with lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide...it will do horrid things to your hair.

I wouldn't take the chance of my hair falling out, a professional stylist is the best, find one that is good that won't cost a million dollars!

You can't 'dye' dark hair blonde. You'll have to bleach it...or, try using sun-in or lemon juice to get some natural sun highlights.

Do NOT do the Loreal Colorpulse... I used one to temporarily dye my blonde hair dark brown and it turned orange. It was AWFUL. I ended up going to a salon to get it FIXED and they did a fantastic job. I suggest you do the same. Ask your friends where they go to get their hair done-- there are lots of places that aren't super expensive that give you great results. If you don't like the maintenance and expense of dyed hair, you can try to get lighter highlights, which is what I did. However, I do not know how dark your hair is now and how light you want to go, so that is up to you.

Seriously, though, do not experiment at home. I have done it a bunch of times and not ONCE has it turned out the right way. Please listen to my advice!!!

Good luck!!
