ok so. i had my hair red for a while, and bleached it blonde. cause its my natural color. but then dyed it dark brown. and ive tried to go lighter but it wont work. and i would liike to know how to get to blonde again without pulling a britney spears and shaving it off and starting over.. or bleaching it all again.?.

the only way to get it back to a nice natural looking blond is to bleach again with blondissma then put a blond dye on that or just get it done proffessionally!....jennie..*smiles

LOL As my boss said this morning you need to stay away from that lady clarol. you have yourself backed up in a corner. now. I could help you if you died it blonde and wanted to go brown. but because you have gone red to blondie to died brown and tried to dye blondie and didn't take I think your going to have to wait a few weeks, but then go to clarol.com and get the phone # or use live chat they will have to call you back after they try to figure out what to do. I would not recomend professional as it will cost you a fortune.

Tricky. If you don't want to go to a hairdresser, try buying a haircolor remover. There are lots of brands, Color Oops, Uncolor by Clairol, ColorZap by L'Oreal, etc. They're meant to remove dye. Do a strand test first though, some of them bleach your natural hair even though they're not supposed to, leaving you with white roots... Color Oops doesn't do that though, get that if you can find it. Walgreens I think is supposed to have it in the US... Have a blonde dye handy because your hair will probably be a weird colour under the brown dye. After using the remover you'll have to dye it back to the colour you want. Also, buy two boxes of whatever you use because you'll probably need to use it twice to get all the brown out!

You probably noticed that dye doesn't bleach well... If you want to go the bleach route though you can get some plain hair peroxide in a bottle, put it in a spray bottle then spray it all over and comb it through before you shower every day, following with a really good conditioner. Eventually this will lighten even the dyed hair, and going slowly with conditioning in-between will reduce damage. Make sure you have some blueish-blonde dye around (or actual toner from a professional hair shop) in case your hair ends up too orange for your taste, because that's probably the color that will start to come out first before it gets blonde. And try to avoid the roots with the peroxide, they'll bleach WAY faster than the dyed parts!
