right, i used to dye my hair black alot. it hasnt been dyed now for about six months but recently i've decided i'd like to do it blonde. i'm not sure if its in good condition, but its not too damaged. at the moment its a dark brownish colour:

i want it the sort of blonde of the girl next to me.

i know i'll have to have it done professionally if i do have it done, but i want to know if it would suit me and how much damage it will do to my hair.

also, if you have any ideas for keeping it in good condition before and after its bleached id appreciate it.

I was blonde but then i went a black/purple...then pure black then brown and im in love with the brown..my hair is in great condition. I used some aveda products to moisturize my hair and it helps to fight damaged hair. Id say go to a local aveda store and look through some stuff and ask them. They are more then happy to help :]

You might have to get it done in stages, but you can get it like that eventually, especially if you don't care if the blonde color looks a bit unnatural like your friend's does (no offense).

When I used to bleach my hair, I just washed and conditioned it everyday and it was never damaged. The person who does yours will probably have more specific suggestions.

My daughter did the black with fire red then decided to go back to blonde. We used a shampoo called Aussie moist :Hydra shampooing. Before and after bleaching on our stylist suggestion. It worked wonders. She had soft locks that were beautiful no damage from the bleaching.,

Well, (this is my opinion only) I think that a more darker blonde would look better because the blonde that you want is a little too bright for your skin. But, that is just my opinion, if you want that blonde, ignore everything that I said and go for it...after all, it's your hair, not mine!

About the damage, it will damage your hair because you will have to get it bleached and such and it can make your hair feel like straw. Ask the hair stylist what you need to do in order to keep it from being totally wrecked.
