Dyeing my hair blonde?

I have blue eyes and my hair is dark brown, my skin is a peachy colour and i wanted to dye my hair a dark blonde.

I put the colour next to my face and it really suits me so now i really want to dye it!

what dyes would you recommend?

try to dye your hair blonde yourself,. you will end up with a brassy nightmare......unless you have a friend that really knows what they are doing, do not attempt this. THe blonde dyes you see that come in a box at the store are for people who have hair that is only three shades away, eg. y ou are dark blonde and you want to go medium blonde. IF you use them on your color, your hair will turn orange. Be aware , also , that even if you go to a salon, dying dark brown hair blonde is a big process that does ALOT of damage to your hair, and be prepared for expensive upkeep=like special shampoos, conditioners, and trips to the salon for root touch ups very frequently. I have been dying my hair for a long time, my hair is medium brown ,and trust me , what I say is true. Most hair dye companies, in fact , have stopping putting hair color like yours on blonde boxes=most say if you have dark or medium brown not to use it. THey didnt use to do that. If you have blue eyes, and creamy skin (fair) than any blonde color would suit you, go for a golden blonde, like a warm honey, that looks pretty .

If you dye your hair, once the dark brown roots start showing it will look REALLY bad.

I would recommend trying a Preference by Loreal or Nice %26amp; Easy, BUT use a temporary dye and see how you like it.

I recommend bleaching or lightening your hair. Go to a Sally's and ask them for some tips. Then, buy a dark blonde hair dye. Ion Color Brilliance is usually good, but tends to be a bit darker then what you expect, but it should fade. You could also use medium blonde.

Depending on how long you let the bleach lighten, you would use a 20 vol. developer or a 30 with the dark blonde dye

Hi Aimee, Keep the color of hair you have. You really don't know what color you really what with all these question about dying your hair. Leave it natural you will be a lot more happier with your self and your hair.
