Should I dye my multi- colour hair blonde myself?

I used to dye my hair black. Now its blonde again from many many foils at the hairdresser. The underneath is brown. The tips are orangeish because the black isnt compleatly gone from there. Near the roots it is light blonde but my dark blonde regrowth is coming through. Should I dye it at home? I want to dye it light blonde, the same as near the roots. Will it work?

I have very dark hair, and I tried bleaching it blonde myself. It was a mess, and I had to go to a salon to get the color fixed. Given that, I don't think home bleach jobs are a good idea.

If you want to save money, don't color your hair at all. Get off the endless color rollercoaster, and stick with your natural color.

NOOO!, u already ruined ur hair, dont do anything ur hair will turn blue or orange or green, dont want to look like a clown now do u, just go to a salon they understand exactly what to do with ur hair

NO NO NO, especially cuz u want it blond, if u were coloring it brown maybe you can do it at home, but the blond after ruining ur hair and its mulit color now, you should go to a specialist and they might advice u not to die it blond at this stage.

Nope. Even though im a guy and havent dyed my hair before, it's common sense. the previous answers also make sense

That is definitely a professionals only area. See, to get the blonde highlights you have now, you hairdresser likely had to bleach them out. And the only way you would get completely blonde is to use a powder lightener to bleach the whole thing, but with the highlights already there, you'd be layering bleach on top of bleach, which is really aggressive and potentially damaging. You could try using a color remover, which is less abrasive, but it won't get you Gwen Stefani blonde, just your natural color back. Then you could have that toned and highighted professionally, and your end result would be a medium blonde with light blonde highlights, which would look pretty light and natural. Anything else I would let a skilled hairdresser do. You may even want to google a color correction salon, some specialize in that. Happy coloring!

Ok, your hair has parts that are brown parts that are blond, and dark blond, etc.

well to fix that,(at home) you must find a hair die that is calle Blond Dimension , this will help you cover the browns and other shades of the blond that you have on your hair. Because this hair color is a form of blond that gives your hair different shades of blond creating multi lights, instead of high lights, high light are around 2-3 shades, multi is 3-5. Darker parts on your hair will come out to be a dark blond, lighter areas will come out to be a lighter blond depending on the shade you now have. So your hair may come out looking very nice. Very natural looking. But to do this it also depends on the condition that your hair is in. That also varies. So the better you hair condition the higher your rate of succeeding.

LoL! Hope it helps!!!

haven't you learned yet?

Should I dye my multi- colour hair blonde myself?

NO WAY!!! I think you should definitly let a pro do that. That way there is less of a chance that your hair will get died the wrong color.

If you dye it at home FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS!

The heat from your scalp will make the chemicals react faster, therefore the hair closest (about the top 2 in.) will be the lightest and might not look abuot the same color as the rest. If your hair is kinda orangey you can buy "toning" shampoo and conditioners to keep the orange at bay. I use Aveda Blue Malva. It works great, and keeps my hair looking like I just got it done!
